Punjab is set to transform its education system by introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a compulsory subject for primary school students, making it the first province in Pakistan to take such a step. The initiative reflects the growing importance of digital literacy, emerging technologies, and future-ready skills in modern education.
According to education officials, AI will be included in the curriculum for students from Grade 1 to Grade 5. The subject will be taught as an independent course, similar to Mathematics, Science, and English, with dedicated classroom periods and assessments.
