Punjab’s educational boards have provided significant relief to thousands of students by extending the registration deadline for Class 9 admissions for the 2026-2028 academic session. The decision applies to all boards across the province, including Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Sahiwal.
According to an official notification issued by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), the revised schedule allows schools and students additional time to complete the registration process without facing difficulties. Educational institutions had requested an extension to ensure that all eligible students could submit their admission forms and registration records on time.

Under the updated schedule, Class 9 students can submit their admission forms without any late fee until June 22, 2026. The extension is expected to benefit thousands of students who were unable to complete the process within the previously announced deadline.
The boards have also announced a second phase for registrations. Students who miss the regular deadline can still submit their forms with a late fee of Rs. 600 per student. This facility will remain available from June 23 to July 7, 2026.
Officials have advised students and school administrations not to wait until the final days of the registration period. Completing the process early can help avoid technical issues and ensure that all records are submitted correctly.
The registration process is a crucial step for students preparing to appear in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in the coming years. Accurate registration ensures that students receive roll number slips, examination schedules, and other important academic notifications without delays.
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen has directed all affiliated schools to follow the revised timeline and assist students in completing the admission process. Parents have also been encouraged to stay in contact with their respective schools to confirm that registration formalities have been completed successfully.
