Punjab Introduces New B-Form Policy for Class 5 and 8 Board Exams

The Punjab School Education Department has introduced a new requirement for students appearing in Class 5 and Class 8 board examinations. Schools must now enter a valid B-Form number while registering students, making it a compulsory part of the registration process.

According to official instructions, students whose records were previously submitted without a B-Form number have now been marked as unverified in the online registration system. Schools have been directed to update these records as soon as possible to avoid registration problems.

Authorities have informed head teachers, registration in-charges, and school administrators that registrations will remain incomplete until the correct B-Form details are added. Schools are responsible for ensuring that every student’s information is accurate before submitting final registration data.

The B-Form, issued by NADRA, serves as the official identity document for children under the age of 18. It helps verify a student’s identity and ensures that education records remain accurate and secure across the province.

Officials have also warned that no new registrations will be accepted after the official deadline. Schools have been advised to complete all pending updates well before the closing date to prevent students from facing difficulties in appearing for the examinations.

Parents whose children do not yet have a NADRA B-Form are encouraged to apply for one immediately and provide the document to their respective schools. Early submission can help avoid last-minute delays during the registration process.

The latest move is part of the Punjab government’s efforts to digitize student records, improve data verification, and reduce registration errors. Education authorities believe that linking every student with a verified B-Form number will make the examination system more transparent and reliable.
