AIOU Extends Admission Deadline Without Late Fee for Multiple Programs

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced an extension in its admission deadline for a wide range of academic programs, giving relief to thousands of students who were unable to apply earlier. The university confirmed that no late fee will be charged under the extended schedule.

According to AIOU officials, the decision has been taken to facilitate students from across the country who faced technical, financial, or personal difficulties during the initial admission period. The extension is expected to make higher education more accessible, especially for learners in remote and underserved areas.

The revised deadline applies to Matric, FA, Associate Degree, BS, B.Ed, Postgraduate Diploma, and Certificate programs. However, admissions for MS, MPhil, and PhD programs will remain open only until February 17, and students interested in these higher-level programs have been advised to complete their applications without delay.

The university also clarified that continuing students already enrolled in various programs must finalize their enrollment and submit the required details by February 17 to avoid any academic complications.

AIOU emphasized that, as Pakistan’s largest distance-learning university, it remains committed to providing flexible and affordable education to students from all backgrounds. The extension reflects the institution’s mission to ensure that no deserving student is left behind.

Students can find complete admission guidelines, prospectuses, and online application forms on the official AIOU website, while regional campuses and study centers are also available to provide in-person assistance. The move has been widely welcomed by students, who say it offers a much-needed second chance to continue their education.
