Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced a major update for students, confirming that admissions for the upcoming semester will begin soon while preparations for the next examination phase are also underway.
According to the university, students enrolled in current programs are advised to complete their admission process for the next semester without waiting for the results of their ongoing courses. The university has emphasized that admissions and examinations will overlap, making timely registration essential.

Important Information for Students:
- New semester admissions will start from 1 July 2026.
- Spring semester examinations will begin from 1 September 2026.
- Roll number slips and admit cards will be uploaded by 15 August 2026.
- Students can download examination documents through the university portal.
- Learners facing any issues are encouraged to contact their nearest AIOU Regional Campus.
The university has also advised students to regularly check official notifications to avoid missing important deadlines. Officials say the latest schedule is designed to ensure smooth academic progress and help students continue their studies without interruption.
For students enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs, admissions will remain open until early September. Study materials will be dispatched after the admission phase, followed by the study period, examinations, and result announcements according to the academic calendar.
Similarly, students applying for Face-to-Face (F2F) programs will follow a separate schedule that includes admission processing, tests and interviews where applicable, classroom study sessions, examinations, and final results.
